Wet floor slip prevention – NST, Anti-slip treatment for all kinds of floors

What is the NST treatment? NST makes surfaces non-slippery when wet. Two liquid substances are applied to the surface to prevent skidding. The substances do not affect the tiles’ appearance. They do, however, reinforce the tiles and help preserve them. The treatment changes the molecular structure of the topmost layer of the tile, forming a stiff crystalline made up of numerous microscopic cones. Treading the wet surface creates a vacuum that adheres the foot to the surface. Lab tests clearly show that NST treatment augments the friction coefficient and strengthens the tile. The treatment is controlled, and its intensity is adjusted so as to meet the requirements of the treated surface. The technique is implemented by professionally trained teams.

What kinds of tiles can be treated with NST?

Ceramics, marble, quarry, granite, porcelain, terrazzo, terracotta, and also bathtubs and shower floors.

Where should one apply NST?

Surfaces that tend to get wet: bathtubs, bathroom and shower floors, swimming pools and swimming pool decks, kitchen and dining room floors, balconies and outdoor flooring, parking spots, industrial floors, cold storage floors, etc.

Special walking surfaces: stairs, ramps, paths, open floors and so forth. The treatment is vital where slipping and tripping pose a serious danger, places such as senior-home floors, hospital floors, school floors, etc.

What are the advantages of NST?

  • Slip prevention The treatment completely prevents slipping.
  • Protection of the tile and prolonging its usability Unlike other methods on the market, the NST treatment is unique in that it strengthens tiles and reduces wear and tear.
  • Retention of surface appearance The NST treatment leaves the surface visibly unchanged and immediately ready for use. The treatment works by integrating with the surface, rather than covering it. Thus, it cannot peel off. This protects the treated surface from the weather and from UV radiation. The high friction lasts throughout the tile’s lifespan.
